Swap screen time
for green time

Offline adventures in nature for young people who rarely get the chance.
Always free.

Why we exist

Adventure shouldn’t depend on where you come from

For many young people, a week in nature, a trip abroad or a night around a campfire simply isn’t within reach. Because of money, a difficult home situation or a heavy life story. These are often the young people who would benefit most.

That’s who we’re here for. We create safe, offline adventures where they can breathe, discover what they’re capable of and feel they belong.

Our projects

Hiking the Camino offline

In February 2026, three participants and one Out of Office leader traveled to Spain to hike part of the famous Santiago de Compostela trail. Over the course of 7 days, the group walked together from start to finish, carrying their own backpacks and staying in hostels and huts along the route.

One special element of this journey was a 24-hour phone-free challenge. Participants were invited to hand in their phones and literally “swap screentime for greentime.” Although challenging at first, the experience helped them slow down, connect with nature, and be more present in the moment.

Who we are

Founded in 2025 by Rutger de Rijk and Bibi Timmerman, who share one dream: helping young people connect and get into nature. Together with a crew of trainers and coaches, we create adventures that stay with you.

Give a young person a chance they wouldn’t otherwise get

The young people we work with often have never been on an adventure like this. Not because they don’t want to, but because it was never possible. Participants never pay. That’s only possible thanks to people and organisations who believe in what we do.

Want to support a young person, a trip or our work as a whole? Let’s talk about what fits you.

Ready to collaborate?

Youth & care organisations, schools: Have young people who could use an adventure? We co-create programmes that fit your group.

Companies: Make an adventure possible and give your team a story worth sharing.

Funds & foundations: Support projects that reach young people the outdoors usually doesn’t.
