We connect young people through offline moments, movement, (mini) adventures and real conversations
Why we exist
The world feels noisy, fast, and overwhelming. Stress, pressure, and endless scrolling are making us more disconnected than ever. The world is sick - and so are we.
We believe the answer is simple: step out. Out of the schoolbanks, the office, out of your head, out into nature, into movement, and meaningful conversations.
We dream of a new generation. A generation that acts from trust instead of fear, and that chooses connection and deep conversations over WiFi and likes. One that finds life adventurous, fun, and full of hope. Turning overused brains into fresh mindsets ready for the future.

Who we are
The Out of Office Foundation was founded in 2025 by Rutger de Rijk and Bibi Timmerman, after they met and realized they shared a dream: to help young people connect and get in nature.
Both believe in the power of being curious and the wisdom that comes from being in nature. They connected through the way they each walk their own path, not listening to outside expectations but staying close to their own needs and dreams.
We believe that time outside helps young people find their breath again, understand themselves more deeply, and makes it easier to reconnect with the world around them.
